Kuna Indian Hand-Stitched Vintage Barnyard MoIa-Panama 20071809mm

This Kuna Mola measures about 17" x 15".

Folks, some time ago I bought a box of molas from the children of missionaries that served in the San Blas Islands in the 1950-1960 period. The Islands are home to the Kuna mola artists so of course they became collectors.

This mola is in superb condition for its age. Folks, the colors are really bright as you would expect with a molas stored in a dark place.. Plus this beauty was part of a mola blouse. The tip off is the ribbon at the top. The artists only use their best molas for their blouses. Showoffs!

I labeled this mola Barnyard because I see chickens and the shovels needed to clean up behind them. You farmers know what I'm talking about. I got involved with Turkeys in Iowa one year. The mate to this mola is 20071813mm.

Look at the stitching on the reverse side. There is a lot of time in this mola.
