Kuna Indian Vintage Hand Stitch Spec. Background Mola-Panama 16052515L

This mola measures about 14.5" x 11".

This mola was made in the 1950's or 1960's. Back in the good ole days the artists delighted in using background materials that added to the design and color of their molas. Look closely and you will see what I mean.

I want to stress these are old molas, not something you will want to add to your wedding dress. They have their own charm and appeal to mola collectors that are into the Kuna culture. This mola was once part of a blouse. The blue border on the left side is the telltale sign.
