This is a lovely Hatching Seedeater Bird tagua carving. The artists like to do these emerging from the egg with snakes, lizards, gators, turtles and or course, birds.

I suppose this fellow has been in our inventory for 20 years or more. And look at the condition...these carvings will be here after I am gone. No wonder tagua is called vegetable ivory.
