Wounaan Embera Iguana Tagua Pedestal Carving-Panama 16021620L

Here we have another neat example of an iguana tagua carving curled up on the nut. The spines on the back are outstanding. I call this style a pedestal carving because the artists started the style to give themselves enough room to wrap the tail around the pedestal.
