Wounaan Embera Tagua Nut Hummingbird Carving-Panama 19022019mm

The Wounaan tagua carvers are some of the best tagua carvers in the world. We have been buying and selling their tagua carvings for more than 25 years. I have always been impressed by the way the artists can meld a hummingbird with a flower on one tagua nut. This one could be a Honeycreeper because of the bent beak. That was the only distinguishing feature that is different from my observations in Panama feeding these rascals.
