Wounaan Embera Tropical Oriole Bird Tagua Carving-Panama 16032905L

This is a lovely Oriole bird tagua carving. These little fellows used to come to my back porch where I put out bananas and mangos.

I suppose this fellow has been in our inventory for 20 years or more. And look at the condition...these carvings will be here after I am gone. No wonder tagua is called vegetable ivory.
