Folks, here is a wonderful tagua turtle carving. It shows the turtle emerging from the egg. But what makes it special is the egg reveals some neat inclusions. Inclusions are discolorations that occur as the nut deteriorates before it is cut by the carver. Once the carving begins the deterioration ends. Tagua will last pretty much forever. It gets a little darker with age just as ivory does.
