Wounaan Indian Vintage Frog Tagua Carving Panama 20091953L

This is a natural or white tagua carving of a lovely frog. Look at how delicate the legs are. And the carving is completely undercut. One thing interesting about this carving is that it was polished but the polish wasn’t completely removed. It looks a little like a car when you forget to remove all the polish when you are cleaning it up. It will come off if you want to work at it but there isn’t really very much and I like it. Turn the carving over and you’ll find a leaf. This is a really neat carving. If it were not for the polish it would be more expensive.

Every tagua carving is a one-of-a-kind treasure.
