Wounaan Indian Human Figure Tagua Carving-Panama 21042508L

This is a very unusual tagua carving. The base looks a lot like the small vase and basket designs that the tagua carvers like to make. But instead of hollowing the carving out the artist put a head on the carving and finished it up. The painting is excellent and it is signed by the artist.
