Wounaan Indian Alligator Crocodile Tagua Pendant Carving-Panama 21042501L

This is a neat Alligator carving. Ramilcio Barrigon is the artist and he is another of the best tagua carvers in Panama.

I still remember when the tagua carvers started doing pendant carvings. They enjoyed super success with their jaguar and sloth pendants so they went into this design because it did not require legs to slide the leather thong or gold chain through. However this carving is similar as it is cut to accept a chain. See the loop on the back.

Every tagua carving is a one-of-a-kind treasure.
