Wounaan Embera Dyed Iguana Tagua Carving-Panama 16040709L

Folks, what we have here is an Iguana tagua carving that has been dipped in a cocobolo wood chip natural dye. The dye was most likely made by the artist's wife for the chunga fiber she uses for basket weaving. This carving is a pedestal-style carving.

I suppose it has been in our inventory for 20 years or more. And look at the condition...these carvings will be here after I am gone.
