Wounaan Embera Hawk and Snake Tagua Carving-Panama 16040716L

Folks, what we have here is a Hawk with a Snake in its beak. The tagua carving is a white or natural carving that has been dipped in a cocobolo wood chip dye. The design is made so the carving can be used as a sleeve for a scarf. Back in the 1990's this was really popular. So if you are a scarfer... and I don't mean at the table.

I suppose it has been in our inventory for 20 years or more. And look at the condition...these carvings will be here after I am gone.
