Wounaan Embera Natural White Gecko Tagua Carving-Panama 16032929L

This natural or white gecko tagua carving is really neat. The artist left the shuck or outer covering of the tagua nut to accent the carving.

I suppose this fellow has been in our inventory for 20 years or more. And look at the condition...these carvings will be here after I am gone. No wonder tagua is called vegetable ivory.
