Wounaan Embera Poison Dart Frog Tagua Carving-Panama 16022716L

This is a super Poison Dart Frog tagua carving. The work on the leaves is as impressive as the frog itself. Plus he threw a log in for good measure. It is nicely signed too, by Eirvan Cabezon, 2001.

I suppose this fellow has been in our inventory for 20 years or more. And look at the condition...these carvings will be here after I am gone. No wonder tagua is called vegetable ivory.
