Wounaan Embera Red-Eye Tree Frog Tagua Pendant Carving-Panama 16031108L

Folks, last night I decided to go through some old carvings that haven't seen the light of day for a number of years. I selected those that were intended to be pendants and others that were thin and light enough to be made into pendants. Then I got out my trusty Dremel...well, you get the picture.

This pendent is a Red-Eye Tree Frog. What appeals to me is the difficulty of carving something this small. The tagua branch is inked brown and then the frog was carved from the same piece to appear to be clinging to the branch, Really cool for a frogger...

I suppose they have been in our inventory for 20 years or more. And look at the condition...these carvings will be here after I am gone. No wonder tagua is called vegetable ivory.

They make great gifts and
