Wounaan Embera Seedeater Bird Tagua Carving-Panama 16022207L

Folks, last night I decided to go through some old carvings that haven't seen the light of day for a number of years. Here's a really different tagua carving. It has a Seedeater bird resting under a limb. These artists have wonderful imaginations. The artist signed the piece with his initials. NSC or Negria Sederino. He is a great carver that loves to do birds. You should see his hummingbirds. Do a search for tagua hummingbird in Traderbrock.

I suppose it has been in our inventory for 20 years or more. And look at the condition...these carvings will be here after I am gone. No wonder tagua is called vegetable ivory.
