Wounaan Indian Turtle Tagua Nut Pendant Carving-Panama 21062208L

This tagua was carved by Gerinino Negria. He uses a special technique to color it. He dyes the entire piece in cocobolo dye and then etches out the white coloring from beneath the dye. Neat trick, and now the other artists are practicing it.

Because it is a special piece I drilled it and installed a jump ring. It is now a pendant.

Every tagua carving is a one-of-a-kind treasure.
